Bobby L. Phillips, age 74, went to be with Jesus on August 30, 2026.
Bobby was a loving husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, and dear friend whose life was defined by faith, family, service, and love. He was married to his beloved wife, Lisa, for 36 wonderful years. Together, they shared a lifetime of memories, raising their children & building a home filled with love.
Bobby was a father to Nick Poe, Katie Taylor (Lee), Keith Phillips (Heather), Kevin Phillips, and Kris Phillips. His greatest joy was being there for his family and watching them grow.
He was a proud grandfather to Toby Merriman, Skylar Merriman, Maddox Mason, Raylan Poe, Thomas Taylor, Marilyn Taylor, Dalton Phillips, Emerson Phillips, Levi Phillips, and Caleb Phillips. His wife, children & grandchildren brought tremendous joy to his life, and the memories they made together will be treasured forever. Bobby also leaves behind brothers, Donald (Kay) Phillips, Leroy (Tammy} Phillips & sister Fretia Phillips. Several nieces & nephews. Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Phillips, mother, Joyce Phillips & sister, Rita Kay Phillips.
Bobby dedicated many years to serving others. He proudly served his country & retired from the Army National Guard as a Major and also retired from TVA. His commitment to service was an important part of who he was and reflected his strong character and sense of responsibility.
Outside of work, Bobby enjoyed the simple things that made life special. He loved woodworking, playing cards, working puzzles, volunteering making food boxes at HaCoBACare and sitting on the deck spending time with his family and friends. He had a way of making ordinary moments into cherished memories.
Bobby was a faithful member of Silverdale Baptist Church, where his faith was an important part of his life. He especially loved his small group and the fellowship, friendship, and love he shared with them.
Bobby leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, faith, service, and family. Though his passing leaves a tremendous emptiness in the hearts of those who loved him, his memory will live on through his wife, children, grandchildren, family, and friends.
He was deeply loved, greatly respected, and will be missed more than words can say.
Until we meet again, Bobby. Rest peacefully in the arms of Jesus.
