Billy Henry Leamon, 92, a resident of Georgetown, TN passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026, in a local hospital. He was born on March 7, 1934, in Birchwood, TN, and he was a son of the late William Henry & Ruby (Lawson) Leamon. Billy was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army after faithfully serving his country during the Korean War. He was a gifted wood worker and enjoyed spending his spare time "tinkering" and making things with his hands, especially walking canes for his friends that needed them. Billy was a resourceful family man that took great pride in taking care of his family. He cut firewood for many years and raised many gardens feeding his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by one brother Julius Ray Leamon, one sister Alene Goins, the mother of his first-born child Uta Tittel and two nephews David Ray Leamon and Alan Lamar Wooten.
Billy leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife and soulmate of 65 wonderful years Sarah Elizabeth "Lib" (Shelton) Leamon, one son Egenolf Tittel and his children Daniel Koehler, Cedric Ziegler and Katharina Ziegler all of Germany, a second son born to him and Lib, William Henry Leamon and his wife Rosemary (Dovico) of New Jersey and their children Estelle Patricia Pizzuti and her husband Robert, William Henry Leamon, Jr. and his wife Michelle (Sexton), three wonderful great grandchildren Gloria Rose Pizzuti, Kelly Caterina Pizzuti and Juniper Elizabeth Leamon, one sister Margie Wooten, special friends Steve & Charlene Bettis and Linda Wadell, numerous other extended family members and a host of friends. The family would like to thank the many special friends and family that assisted Billy and Lib during their sickness.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening, March 30, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and Tuesday March 31, 2026 from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM in the Shelli Cody Memorial Sanctuary of Companion Funeral Home at the Ridge chapel located at 2412 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, TN.
A service celebrating his life will also be held there on Tuesday afternoon, March 31, 2026, at 1:00 PM with the Reverend Terry Broome and the Reverend Sammy Hooker officiating. Interment will follow in the Johnston Cemetery in Georgetown, TN with Military Honors. Family will serve as pallbearers.
