Beverly Robin "Robbie" Maxwell Cable, age 65, of Madisonville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of February 28, 2026.

A lifelong resident of Madisonville, Robin was deeply rooted in the community she loved. She was a proud graduate of Madisonville High School, where she was a devoted Tornado. Her hometown was not just where she lived, but where she built a life filled with family, friendship, and purpose.

For 31 years, Robin and her beloved husband, Red, shared their lives. Some 20 of those years were spent in their cabin home at Laurel Lake - a place filled with laughter, quiet moments, and cherished memories. It was there that many of her happiest days were spent, from family get-togethers to warm nights on their big porch overlooking the mountain lake.

Robin possessed a strong entrepreneurial spirit, a trait she proudly shared with her father, Jerry. She had a remarkable eye for antiques and a deep passion for preserving family history. She treasured the stories, heirlooms, and memories that connected generations. More than anything, she valued time spent with those she loved. Her heart was especially devoted to her dogs, whom she cherished as her babies and constant companions. She lost a few, namely Bacardi, Buddy, and Stanley, through the years, but she leaves behind her precious Toby, who remained faithfully by her side and brought her endless comfort and joy.

Robin was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elbert Newton and Sydia Williams Hicks, and Wilford Thomas and Elizabeth Sloan Maxwell; her parents, Thomas Jerry and Frances Hicks Maxwell; her uncle, James "Jim" Maxwell; her brother, Barry Keith Maxwell; and her cousin, Roger Allen Bivens.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Kenneth "Red" Cable; her sister, Lezlie Suzanne "Suzie" Maxwell-Mitchell; her sister-in-law, Donna Thomas Maxwell; her aunts, Margaret "Marti" Garrett (widow of Bill Garrett), and Doug and Betty Hicks Hale; her nieces and nephews, Megan Maxwell Isbill, Thomas Lee Mitchell, Elizabeth Kaylyn Maxwell, Payton Maxwell Peacock, Elijah Maxwell Mitchell, and Jordan Kylie Maxwell; as well as many cousins.

In accordance with Robin's wishes, there will be no formal service held. Instead, she asked that you spend time with your family - because we never know when that time may be the last.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Madisonville Sports and Civics Club to support the scholarship established in honor of her mother, Frances Maxwell.

Robbie will be remembered for her strength, her pride in her family, her love of history, and the quiet but steady way she carried herself through life. Her legacy lives on in the stories she preserved and the family she cherished.

You are invited to share a personal memory of Robin or your condolences with her family at her online memorial located at www.companionfunerals.com. Companion Funeral Home of Athens and the Cody family are honored to assist the family with these arrangements.
