Beverly Sue Debuty, 78, of Athens reunited with her mother in Heaven on April 6, 2026.
Beverly worked for seven years as a housekeeper at Days Inn and Super 8 Motel in Athens, where she was known for her strong work ethic and dedication. Outside of work, she found joy in life's simple pleasures, especially horror movies and cherished movie nights with her children, Katheryn and Randall. She enjoyed window shopping, sharing laughs with those closest to her, and had a special fondness for stuffed animals and chocolate.
Beverly was a tough, honest woman, a true fighter with a strong will to live. Above all, she loved her children deeply, and that love was returned tenfold.
Preceded in death by her husband, Quinton Harold Debuty; infant son, Harold Debuty; father, Elvin Mull; mother, Blanche Whalen Yates; siblings, Rebecca Barnett, Barbara Farner, and Donald Sloop.
Survivors include her children, Katheryn Debuty and Randall Debuty; siblings, Ruth Ann Gregory, David Ray Yates, Darrell Rodney Yates; nephews, Samuel Philip Barnett and Matthew Yates; nieces, Valynn Yates and Erica Yates, Theresa, Tressie and Sherrylynn; and many other loved family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at Companion Funeral Home of Athens from 9:30am-11:30am with the funeral service starting at 11:30am. Directly after the funeral, a graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Cleveland.
You are invited to share a personal memory of Beverly or your condolences with her family at her online memorial located at www.companionfunerals.com. Companion Funeral Home of Athens and the Cody family are honored to assist the family with these arrangements.
