Betty Mashburn

Betty Jean Mashburn, age 87, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion to her family.

Betty was a woman of strong Baptist faith who found comfort and joy in reading her Bible and spending quiet moments working puzzle books. Her gentle spirit, kind heart, and unwavering faith were evident to all who knew her. She cherished her family deeply and will be remembered for the love and warmth she shared with each of them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Milburn and Leona Helton; her brother, Bob Helton, and his wife, Pat Helton; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Briar and Brayden Powell.

Betty is survived by her loving children, daughters Sonya (Mike) Cronan and Keturah (James) Howard, and son Tim (Sherry) Mashburn. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Chad Hodges and Kristy Goodner; great-grandchildren, Memphis Powell and Knox Goodner; nephew, Todd Helton; niece, Ginger Green; along with many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Hospice of Chattanooga for their compassionate care and support during this time.

Betty Jean Mashburn will be lovingly remembered for her faith, her quiet strength, and the love she shared so freely with those around her.

Family will have friends for a visitation on Tuesday December 16, 2025 from 11:00- 2:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home located at 2415 Georgetown Rd. Cleveland, TN 37311. Graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm at Union Grove Church of God Cemetery with Rob Works officiating.
