Betty Louise Goins, 81 lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN passed away at her home on Monday, June 1, 2020. She was born to the late Luke and Nannie Brown on November 12, 1938. Betty was a member Temple Baptist Church where she occasionally served as the church pianist. She loved to crochet and watch cooking shows but was especially fond of her cowboy movies. Above all Betty loved her family and helped to raise her grandchildren and great children who were the light of her life.
Betty's husband of 66 years, Roy Goins is left behind to cherish her memory along with their sons; Ricky Goins, Randy Goins,and Robby Goins as well as her grandchildren; April Davis (Ryan), Dustin Goins, Danielle Goins and Amber Goins, great grandchildren; Mikeala Goins, Silas Bishop, Rylan Davis, Kynlee Davis and Colton Goins, sister; Patsy Arp, brother; Eddie Brown (Madge).
The family will receive friends at Temple Baptist Church located at 3070 Harrison Pike, Cleveland, TN 37311 on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 from 5:00-8:00 pm. The following day, Wednesday, June 3, 2020 a Celebration of Betty's life will be held at Temple Baptist Church at 11:00 am with the Reverend Paul Fox officiating. The body will lie in state for one hour prior to the service. Betty will be laid to rest immediately following her service at the Mt. Olive Cemetery.
