Betty Ruth Jenkins Long
March 3, 1940 - July 31, 2025
Betty passed away peacefully in her home on July 31, 2025. Our family lost an amazing mom and the world lost a wonderful friend. She was truly loved by all that knew her. She was a very strong woman. She suffered the loss of her father at the young age of 8 years old. She endured with her grace and strength over the years of the passing of so many of her loved ones. Her whole life she never cared for any of her family's pets until she met Buddy, who quickly became her best friend and companion. The family wants to express a special thank you to Cindy for her love and wonderful care of our mom the last several years.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Tommie Long; father, William Robert (Bob) Jenkins; mother, Annie Rickman Jenkins; daughter, Diane Long Ogle; granddaughters: Lil Masa Haun and Brookie Long; grandson, little man Rob Long; brothers: Jim Jenkins, Gillie Jenkins, Charlie Jenkins, Tommy Jenkins, Henry Jenkins; and sisters: Vinnie Jenkins McClemore, Irene Conklin, Nellie Best, Nancy Davis, B.J.
