In Loving Memory of Betty Ruth Cabrera Betty Ruth Cabrera, known affectionately as "Bet" by her son, passed away April 20,2026, leaving behind a legacy of strength, athleticism, and boundless devotion.

An Exceptional Athlete;
Betty was a natural competitor who thrived in action. She was a standout on the softball diamond and a formidable presence at the bowling alley. Her physical talent was matched only by her spirit; she understood the grit it took to compete, and she carried that athletic heart into every area of her life.

The Ultimate Cheerleader;
She earned many accolades for her own skills. Betty's greatest pride, and most significant "win", was her role as the foundational support for her husband, James (Yogi), and her son, Tony (Tones).

She was more than a spectator; she was a fixture of encouragement who never missed a moment. Her family never had to look far to find her-she was always there in the stands or at the finish line. From the early mornings of skate meets and bike races to the intensity of wrestling matches, baseball games, and golf tournaments, Betty was the head cheerleader, ensuring her family always felt her support.

Her Legacy;
Betty's life was defined by the miles she traveled and the hours she spent cheering for the people she loved most. She was called once more to embrace motherhood later in life, selflessly stepping in to raise another great young man at the time when many would have been settling into retirement. Without hesitation, she answered that call with the same unwavering love, strength, and devotion that defined her life.

Preceding Betty in death were her parents Garland and Mimmie Fulbright; three brothers, Gene, Bobby and Pete Fulbright; three sisters, Joyce Neely, Lana (Ease) Fulbright and Kathy McSpadden; one niece, Pam Neely.

Remaining to honor and cherish many happy times are her husband, James Cabrera and son, Tony Cabrera. Two nieces, Gina Akins and Kim Owens. Three nephews, Danny Osment, Scott Neely and Jeff Harris.

The Companion team is honored to serve the Cabrera family with these arrangements.
