With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Benjamin John "Blitz" Galles, age 49, of Cleveland, Tennessee. He passed away on Friday June 19, 2026, at his residence.
Ben was joyfully born on Christmas Day, 1976, to Doctor, Reverend Michael B. Galles and Laura Galles. Ben attended Rhinelander High School, where he was an accomplished swimmer and all-around class clown. Those who knew him will remember his quick wit and unmatched humor. Ben continued on to study Psychology at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee. In the winter, you would be lucky to find Ben, as he was always doing his favorite pastime, snowmobiling. The rest of the year, he could be found working on his truck or his stereo system.
As well as being brother to Sarah, James, and Joshua Galles, Ben was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Emily Holladay, married to Jordan Holladay and loving mother to Ezra Lynn Holladay, as well as his youngest daughter Elizabeth Judith Galles. Ben also leaves behind a very special friend, Heather Hough, who has loved and supported him. Ben is a loving son, cherished by Michael and Laura Galles, brother cherished by Sarah Bosque (Willie), James Galles (Keysa) and Joshua Galles, father cherished by Emily Holladay (Jordan) and Elizabeth Galles and godson cherished by John Galles and Patrice Mihalko. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ben was preceded in death by his grandparents Fredrick Galles, Nancy Remington, Judith Rose and Donald Rose, as well as cousin Jeremiah Mihalko.
Services will be held on June 26th, 2026 in Cleveland, Tennessee at Companion Funeral Home, with visitation from 2:00-4:00 pm and a memorial service following.
