Barry Craig Eaton

Barry Craig Eaton, 70, passed away peacefully on August 3rd 2026, when he was called home by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

He was born on June 19th, 1956 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Elwood “Woody” and Myrtle “Sally” Eaton.

He was a life-long resident of Chattanooga and was a graduate of both Hixon High School and Lee University.

Professionally, Barry worked in the prepress industry for Dockins Graphics - a printing division of Pathway Press - in Cleveland, TN where he was a graphic designer specializing in production of books and magazines.

Barry gathered strength every day from his relationship with Jesus! Strength that helped him deal with the cancer and other health issues he had with grace and dignity. He never complained about his pain here on Earth. Pain that is now gone forever!

He was an integral part of his River Church family in downtown Chattanooga for many years. He will always be remembered by the close relationships he made there and for the red suspenders he wore without fail!

He loved and was loved by his Tres Dias community of Southeast TN and beyond! Barry embodied the main teaching of Tres Dias which is “God’s unqualified love for each of us through His grace.”

In addition to his parents, Barry was preceded in death by his sister Myra Hawes and brother David Eaton.

Those left to cherish his memory include his nephews Bradley Eaton (Samantha), Samuel Eaton and Eric Hawes.

Friends, family and co-workers are invited to Barry’s memorial service at City Church, 7122 Lee Hwy., in Chattanooga on Sunday, August 16th at 4:00.
