Barbara Whitfield

Barbara Ann Whitfield, age 83, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 29, 1941, Barbara was the cherished daughter of Edward and Ina Marie Penfield. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold Whitfield, and her daughter, Alia Whitfield.

Barbara's life was defined by her unwavering love for her family, her deep appreciation for nature, and her many creative talents. A devoted homemaker, she found joy in sewing, quilting, and cooking for those she loved. Her garden was a place of beauty and peace, where roses and orchids flourished under her care. She also had a passion for photography, capturing life's tender moments and the wonders of the natural world.

Barbara was a woman of many joys she played the piano with grace, delighted in fishing trips, and spent countless happy hours raising animals. She especially loved spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sharing her warmth, wisdom, and playful spirit.

She is survived by her children, Anissa (William) Evers and Guy (Margaret) Whitfield; her brother, Charles (Peggy) Penfield; her sister, Janis (Bill) Sevier; her grandchildren, Kayla (Wade) Baker, Catherine Neeley, and Samuel Ryan Whitfield; and her great-grandchildren, Brantley Shipley, Sebastian Shipley, Rory Baker, Alexandria Neeley, and Riley Garnon.

Barbara's legacy is one of love, beauty, and strength. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
