Barbara Jean Rickett

Barbara Jean Rickett, age 87 of Rossville, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at her residence. Born on November 22, 1933 she was a longtime resident of Hamilton County before to Georgia and was a longtime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Barbara spent her time helping others and loved living a simple life. She was a hardworking, kind and sweet woman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie J. Rickett; grandmother, Alice D. Camp; and her youngest daughter, Dorothy E. Mowers.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Deborah R. Pilcher; son, Alonzo Poe, Jr.; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; six great-great- grandchildren; and several other extended family.
A graveside service to Celebrate the Life of Barbara Jean Rickett will be held at 2p.m. Monday at Forrest Hills Cemetery in St.Elmo.
