Barbara Ann Bullard

Barbara Ann Bullard, 82, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026. Born on April 25, 1944, to the late Jonah P. and Dolly Mae Sledge, Barbara lived a life rooted in faith and filled with both joys and challenges, leaving a lasting impact on those who knew her.

Barbara was a member of Waterville Baptist Church, where she especially loved singing in the choir. Her faith in the Lord remained steady throughout every season of her life and carried her through both joys and struggles.

She was known for her kind heart and loving nature. Barbara loved celebrating birthdays and special moments, and she found joy in making others feel remembered, welcomed, and loved.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her brothers, Mearl Sledge, Elbert Sledge, Fred Sledge, and Alvin Sledge; sisters, Delvena Arp, Jean Nix, Ruby Sledge, Ruth Sledge, and infant sister Billie Jo Sledge.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 65 years, Ronald Julian Bullard; sons, Ronald Dewayne Bullard (Tonnia) and David Lynn Bullard (Gayle); daughter, Rhonda Bullard King (Chad); grandson: Derrick Keith Bullard; brother, Jackie Sledge (Chun) ; sister, Mary Leonard (Everett); along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

While her family grieves the loss of their beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, they find comfort in knowing that Barbara is now fully healed in both mind and body and no longer suffering. Her family also celebrates the life she lived, the faith she carried, and the love she shared so freely with others.

Family will have a visitation on Monday June 1, 2026 from 3:00-6:00 pm at Waterville Baptist Church located at 4555 Dalton Pike SE Cleveland, TN 37323. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm with Joe Brooks and Rodney Bice officiating. Barbara will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Tuesday June 2, 2026 at 1:00 pm. The family will leave the funeral home in procession to Sunset Memorial Gardens at 12:30 pm on Tuesday June 2, 2026. The family asks that anyone that has a classic car are welcome to drive it in the procession to the cemetery. It would make Barbara smile.
