Anthony Joseph Carpenter went to be with his Heavenly Father and beloved grandmother at the age of 52 on January 13, 2020. He was the son of the late Daniel & Jackie Carpenter. After the death of his parents, he went on to live with his grandparents, the late Daniel Lewis and Mildred Carpenter. He was a member of Allen Memorial Methodist Church and a graduate of McMinn County High School. He worked for Gemtron, Athens Parks and Recreation as well as Athens City School System.
He is survived by his three sons, Daniel Joseph, Dylan Scott and Samuel Tristan Carpenter. He loved his family and friends dearly and had a large circle of close and dear friends. He was a people person and animal lover, especially his german shepherd “Huck”. He didn’t know a stranger and made everyone feel as though he wanted to genuinely know them.
A memorial service is scheduled for February 1, 2020 at 5:00 PM in the fellowship hall of Allen Memorial Methodist Church.
You are encouraged to share a memory of Anthony and/or your personal condolences with his family by visiting his memorial webpage and guestbook at www.companionfunerals.com. Companion Funeral & Cremation Service of Athens is honored to assist his family with these arrangements.
