Anne Christine Donovan passed away in Knoxville, TN on August 7, 2026, surrounded by her family. Anne was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, the daughter of Jeremiah and Marie (Carey) Donovan.

Anne grew up in the Hungry Hill area of Springfield and graduated from Cathedral High School. After earning her bachelor's degree from Norfolk State University and a master's degree from Old Dominion University, Anne dedicated many years to her career as an elementary school teacher in Virginia Beach, VA. Following her retirement, she relocated to Oak Ridge, TN, to spend more meaningful time with her children and grandchildren. Her retirement years were filled with favorite activities, including summer trips to Cape Cod, travels to Ireland, and family cruises and vacations to Florida with her grandchildren. She regularly visited Massachusetts to connect with her siblings and extended family, who always cherished her vibrant, life-of-the-party personality.

Anne is survived by her son, Patrick J. Corrigan, and her daughter, Sarah E. Corrigan. She took immense pride in her four grandchildren-Christopher, Sade, Dhimitrios, and Carmine-and showered them with constant love.

She also leaves behind five siblings: Jeremiah F. of West Springfield, Maureen Clough of North Eastham, Patricia (John) Kendzierski of West Springfield, Daniel E. (Beth) Donovan of
Estero, FL, and James M. Donovan (with partner Corinne Gorman) of Leominster, MA. Her memory will also be cherished by her nine nieces and nephews, as well as many cousins.

In addition to her parents, Anne was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, John P. Clough, and six first cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held in her honor on Monday, August 17, 2026, at 6:00 pm at Companion Funeral & Cremation Service, 653 Briarcliff Ave, Oak Ridge, TN 37830 with visitation from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.
