Anita Gaines

Anita Gale Gaines, 64, of Spring City, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly at her home on November 10th, 2025.

A lifelong resident of Spring City and a woman of strong Baptist faith, Anita lit up every room she entered. Her warmth, laughter, and love touched all who knew her, and her absence will leave a void that time cannot heal.

She is joyfully reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband of 33 years, Terry Gaines, her precious grandson Andrew Gaines Wilson, and several other dearly loved family members and friends.

Anita is survived by her devoted parents, David and Judy Hawkins of Spring City; her loving daughter, Danielle Gaines; and her cherished grandchildren, Zaya and Xanon Chacon, and Adalyn and Khloe Clark, all of Spring City.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 19th, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Companion Funeral Home in Athens, Tennessee. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Anita will be remembered for her boundless love, kindness, and the light she brought into the lives of everyone she met.

Mom, nam-nam, you were a light, a force like no other, chaos and compassion combined, your absence in this world has made the music play a little quieter but the stars shine a lot brighter.
