It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Angelia Kay Sutton, age 54, of Madisonville, Tennessee, who gained her heavenly wings on September 1, 2026, in Knoxville, Tennessee after a courageous battle with Lung Cancer. Born on October 21, 1971, in Athens, Tennessee, Angie was a beacon of light and love in the lives of all who knew her.

Angie dedicated many years of her life to the Monroe County School System, serving with unwavering devotion as a cafeteria cook since 1999 where she became cafeteria manager. Her exceptional cooking enriched the lives of countless children and faculty alike. Beyond her professional life, Angie was a passionate individual who cherished the simple pleasures of reading, writing, and journaling. She found joy in comedies and laughter, often bringing a smile to those around her with her unique sense of humor.

A beloved wife and mother, Angie enjoyed spending time in nature with her husband, Barry Sutton, to whom she was married for 32 wonderful years, and their children, Kristen Sutton and Emerald Lock (Adam). Camping trips were a cherished family tradition, filled with laughter and memories that will live on in their hearts.

Angelia leaves behind not only her loving husband and children but also her beloved grandchildren, Allura, Alexis, and Ayden, who brought her immeasurable joy. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Tracy Love, Chia Croft, and Kim Bolix. also survived by Angie is her mother and father-in-law, Edith and Starlin Stalans, as well as several extended family members and a host of friends who will forever hold her memory dear.

Preceded in death by her parents, William Albert Croft and Edith Marie Coleman Croft, and her brother, Chad Croft, Angelia's legacy of kindness, love, and laughter will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
