Angela "Angie" Sue Pursley

Angela "Angie" Sue Pursley, a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, in her hometown of Cleveland, Tennessee on July 3rd. Angie built a life centered around love, family, and the beauty she brought to others-both through her work and her presence.

A graduate of Hayesville High School, Angie was the daughter of Church of God Pastor J. Wayne Moore and spent her formative years bringing love, laughter, and light to communities around Tennessee and North Carolina.

A talented beautician, Angie pursued a career in hairstyling. Her clients knew her not only for her skill and creativity but for the warmth and joy she brought into every room. She had a gift for making people feel seen and special, and her smile brightened countless days.

Angie's greatest passion in life was her family. She is survived by her beloved son, Derek Pursley; her cherished grandchildren, Julian Cartwright, Arlo Lambert, Jack Pursley, and Anna Jo Pursley; her devoted mother, Becky Moore; and her dear brothers, Steve and Daniel Moore. Her love for her grandchildren was boundless-she showered them with affection, gifts, and unforgettable moments.

Angie will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unselfish heart. She was the kind of person who gave more than she asked for and found joy in lifting others up.

Her family will gather in the main sanctuary at Companion Funeral Home in Cleveland on Saturday July 12th, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm to receive friends. Following the service, she will be cremated, in accordance with her wishes, and a private celebration of her life will be held at a later time.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her, and her spirit will continue to shine through every act of kindness and love shared in her name.
