With broken hearts and precious memories, we celebrate the life of Andrew Denton Carroll, 17, of Cleveland, Tennessee. Andrew was born on January 9, 2009, and met his Lord and Savior on January 30, 2026.

Andrew was an "old soul," as well as a natural-born leader and competitor.

He had commitment, drive, and determination, and he put his whole heart into everything he did. He was known and loved for his honesty, wit, and the loyalty that defined him. Andrew had a genuinely good heart, deep respect for others, and true character, which made him so very special and a light to all who knew him. We take great comfort in knowing that our Andrew loved the Lord, was saved, and that his salvation was secure.

Andrew was a junior at Bradley Central High School, where he maintained a 4.0 GPA and was a three-year recipient of the "B and Bars" Honors recognition. He was on track for Bear Scholar designation. Andrew was named All-Region Academic Player of the Year for both the 2024 and 2025 football seasons. He was looking forward to his senior year and all of the memories he would make. After graduation, he planned to attend college and pursue a future in finance.

When he wasn't on the football or baseball field with his teammates or hanging out with friends, Andrew spent his time at home with his family. He especially enjoyed being in the woods hunting or fishing with his dad.

Until they meet again in Heaven, Andrew leaves behind his loving parents, Holly and Jonathan Carroll, and his little brother, Cooper Carroll. He is also survived by his great-grandfather, Bobby Powell; grandmother, Sharon Watkins; grandparents, Tom (Lee) Watkins; grandparents, Dennis (Karen) Carroll; grandmother, Connie Carroll; uncle, Clint (Amber) Hickman; uncle, Josh (Brittany) Mowery; and cousins, Jenna Mowery, Beckham Mowery, and McKinleigh Carroll. Andrew was the oldest grandchild of a very close cousin crew, each of them holding a unique bond and a very special place in his heart.

Andrew was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Willard and Allene Carroll; great-grandmother, Opal Powell; great-grandparents, Rev. Bill and Gene Watkins; great-grandmother, Polly Stepp; and great-grandfather, Robert Killian.

We invite you to honor the memory of Andrew with us at First Baptist Church on Saturday, February 7, 2026. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with the service following. Pastor Steve Morgan will be officiating.

We ask that you please continue to lift our family, Andrew's teammates, friends, teachers, and coaches in prayer for strength, peace, and protection as we navigate this tremendous loss. Please continue to share pictures, videos, and stories of our boy with us, as they bring comfort and reminders of his beautiful life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a future scholarship fund established in memory of Andrew Carroll. Donations may be made at Builtwell Bank, Bradley Square location in Cleveland, Tennessee, or mailed to P.O. Box 4443, Cleveland, TN 37320.
