Amanda Ruth Cooley

Obituary
Amanda Ruth Cooley, 54, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Saturday night, September 14th, 2013 in a Chattanooga hospital. Amanda was born on July 19th, 1959. She was of the Baptist faith. Amanda worked for Bradley County Sheriff’s office as a correctional officer. She dearly loved her children, grandson and entire family. Amanda’s caring personality was always putting others before herself. Her children said if they could pick one word to describe their mother it would be “Awesome” !

She is preceded in death by her father Jack Wilson.

Amanda leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband Gene Cooley, mother Maxine Wilson, one daughter Jackie Cooley, one son Ernie Shaw, one grandson she termed “her angel” – Christian Gartin, three sisters Kim Dixon, Nancy Baker and Debbie Tozer, three brothers Craig Wilson, Jessie Wilson and James Wilson. She is also survived by numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A celebration of her life is planned for Tuesday night, September 17th, 2013 at 8:00 PM at the United Christian Church located at 2200 Peerless Road with Pastor Gary Shuler officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday night from 6:00 PM until the 8:00 PM service time.
