Alton "Al" Bramlett

December 23, 1945 — June 2, 2025

Alton "Al" Randolph Bramlett, 79, of Cleveland, TN, passed away on June 2, 2025.

Al was born in Dalton, Georgia, on December 23, 1945, to Howard Bramlett and Mildred (Baxter) Bramlett. Soon after graduating from Bradley High School in 1963, Al married his wife of 37 years, Donna (Miles) Bramlett. He served his country in the US Army from 1965-67 before settling in Marietta, Georgia where he raised his family. While Al proudly worked for AT&T for many years, his life centered around his church, family, and friends. Big Al, as he was affectionately known, was a self-described country boy at heart who was happiest when he was close to home and family. While his dream was to have his two daughters living next door, he worked and sacrificed to give them the world. He was proud of his daughters and grandchildren and took every opportunity to tell them so. You could frequently find him in the stands at sporting events cheering not only for his daughters but also for his great nieces and nephews. Al found joy in time spent fishing with family or friends. However, in his later years, he traded his bass boat for a riding lawn mower, expressing love for his mother and sisters by taking particular care of their lawns. Al will be remembered for his faith, friendliness, quirky sense of humor, generosity, and acts of service.

Al was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and Howard Bramlett. He is survived by his daughter, Alicia Bramlett; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Evan Vars; grandchildren, Ruyi and Jay Vars; sisters, Fonda Miles Cline and Theda Bramlett; and brother, Tyson Bramlett as well as a loving extended family.
