Captain Allan A "Al" Schock, 87, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025 at Tennessee State Veterans Home in Cleveland TN with his family at the bedside. He was preceded in death by his parents, Georgiana and Albert, and brothers Daniel and Robert.

He leaves to cherish his memory wife, Pat, sons Jon (Sara) and Robert, daughter, Kym Alverson; grandchildren Kaitlyn Schock, Julia Farris, Jack Farris, Rusty (Victoria) Clapper, and Rodney (Lauren) Clapper. His great grandchildren are Russell, Ethan, Evie, Solly, and Sadie as well as many step grandchildren and great grandchildren which he cherished. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. Al loved and cared for his family and friends.

He was an alumnus of the University of Illinois and a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force. Allan was an aviator, from cropdusting as a teenager to Captain with Eastern Airlines before his retirement. An avid outdoorsman his entire life, he had many interests and talents. He worked hard, played harder, loved music, and was a friend to all.

He will rest in peace at the National Cemetery in Chattanooga, TN. There will be a graveside service at a later date. Our entire family is grateful to the Tennessee State Veterans Home staff, the Veterans Administration, and Hospice of Chattanooga, TN for the love and exemplary care Al received. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association or Hospice of Chattanooga, TN.
