In Loving Memory of Alida Williams Poole

Alida Williams Poole passed away peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by the family who loved, cared for, and walked alongside her during her final days.

Alida had a bright and joyful spirit and a wonderful love for laughter. She treasured time spent with her friends and family, whether sharing stories, enjoying an outing, or simply sitting together and enjoying each other's company. She found happiness in the little things in life, and anyone who knew her knew that a good Diet Coke was never far from her heart.

More than anything, Alida will be remembered for the moments she shared with the people she loved. Her laughter, stories, personality, and presence created memories that her family and friends will carry with them long after her passing.

Alida was preceded in death by her mother, Barbra Williams; her father, Allen Williams; Brother Alzie Williams, and her niece, Leslie Peak.

She leaves behind her daughter, Brittany Poole, and Brittany's partner, Josh Garner; her husband, Kevin Poole; her nephew, Richard Williams, his wife, Morianda, and their children, Cynthia and Liliauna Williams; her nephew, Alzie Williams, his partner, Lauren Wilkerson, and his son, Robert Williams; and her niece, Kacie Holt, her husband, Richard Holt, and their children, Richaia, Kayana, RJ, and K'mya Holt; and many other extended family in California who she loved and cared deeply for.

Alida's journey with cancer may have come to an end, but cancer will never define the life she lived. Her life will instead be remembered through the laughter she shared, the people she loved, the stories that will continue to be told, and the countless ordinary moments that became treasured memories.

There will always be an empty place where Alida once sat, but there will also always be stories that make her family laugh, memories that bring a smile through the tears, and probably a Diet Coke somewhere that makes someone stop and think of her.

She was deeply loved, tenderly cared for, and will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life honoring Alida will be held at a later date. Details will be shared with family and friends once arrangements have been made.

Rest peacefully, Alida. You were surrounded by love when you left this world, and you will remain surrounded by that love in every memory you left behind.
