Alfred L. Davis, 82, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at home with his family surrounding him. He was a charter member of Bethany Baptist Church and very successfully owned and operated Davis Tractor and Equipment Company in Philadelphia for over 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert G. and Viva Lee Davis; sister Beulah Ann Davis; and brother and sister-in-law Harold and Genetta Davis.

Alfred is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Virginia Davis; sons Jeff Davis (Carolyn); Josh Davis (Brianna); his beloved 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Bethany Baptist Church in Loudon on Wednesday evening June 17, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again Thursday morning June 18, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. till 12:00 p.m. A Celebration of life service will take place at 12:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Rick Harrell. Family members will serve as pallbearers. The funeral procession will depart for Morganton Cemetery in Greenback immediately following the service.
