It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alex Wayne Poole. Alex went home to be with the Lord on July 25, 2026, at the age of 37. Born on February 16, 1989, in Cleveland, Tennessee, Alex lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to his family and community.
A proud graduate of Walker Valley High School, Alex was known for his unwavering spirit and determination. He spent the early years of his career at Mars Wrigley, where his dedication and hard work flourished for five years. Recently, he embraced a new opportunity as a Service Technician at Volunteer Rid-A-Pest.
Beyond his professional life, Alex was a devoted husband to Jennifer for ten beautiful years. Together, they created a loving home for their two cherished children, Grayson and Maggie. As a father, Alex was unparalleled - filled with patience, wisdom, and unfailing love, guiding his children with the values that mattered most.
An active member of Westwood Baptist Church, Alex's faith was the cornerstone of his life. He was a man who loved the Lord, and his kindness and compassion extended to everyone he encountered. Alex's passion for Alabama football was legendary; he bled Crimson, and the phrase "Roll Tide" was ever-present in his conversations. Additionally, his interests included an impressive collection of guns, knives, and survival items, reflecting his adventurous spirit.
Alex leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Jennifer Poole; his children, Grayson and Maggie; parents, Wayne and Carol Poole; his father and mother- in-law, John and Kathy Clark; grandmother, Beth Moore "Nana"; his aunt and uncle, Steve and Connie Houser; and his cousins, Corey and Kristen Houser with their children, Jake and Abby; Andy and Sheena Houser, with their children, Maddie and Allie Guyton; Jim and Marcie Eldridge; Whitney Davis; Craig and Nikki Richesin; and Jason and Wendy Powers; along with the Frazier, Officer, Clark, and Spencer families.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Doyle and Edna Officer, and Williard and Thelma Poole; brother- in- law, Jacob Clark; Uncle, Denny Poole; and his aunt, Becky Blankenship.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026 at 3:00 pm at Westwood Baptist Church with Pastor Paul Davis officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm prior to the service.
You are invited to share a personal memory of Alex or your condolences with his family at his online memorial located at www.companionfunerals.com. Companion Funeral Home of Cleveland and the Cody family are honored to assist the family with these arrangements.
