Alethia June Hawkins, 90, of Cleveland, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on June 1, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 7, 1935, to the late Robert and Elzie Clabough.

Alethia was married to her childhood sweetheart for 69 wonderful years, and together they built a beautiful life and family. She was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church and was a faithful servant of the Lord.

Alethia grew into a woman whose spirit was defined by unwavering love, infectious joy, and an irresistible sense of humor. To know her was to know the true meaning of love. She had an unmatched gift for storytelling and a laugh that could brighten even the darkest of rooms.

Above all else, Alethia was a dedicated and fiercely proud family woman. Her happiest moments were spent surrounded by her loved ones, sharing meals, playing family games, swapping funny stories, and creating lifelong memories.

Her ultimate legacy is the strong foundation of togetherness and laughter she built for her family. Her radiant smile and uplifting humor brought so much light into this world. While our hearts grieve this great loss, we find comfort in knowing that her spirit of love and laughter will live on in every person she touched.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Cowan, Kyle, Clyne, and Charlie Clabough; sisters, Ines Trout, Ula Mae Lawson, Eunice Bell, and Avis Clabo; and daughter-in-law, Beverly Hawkins.

She is survived by her brilliant younguns (per Richard), Pam Morrison and husband Steve (her own personal chef), Richard Hawkins, and Suzia Hawkins; grandchildren, Sherry Leamon and husband Brian, Shane Morrison and wife Rachael, Jeremy Adams and wife Shasta, Chancie Brewer and husband Chris, and Emily Hilliard; great-grandchildren, Peyton Brewer and wife Makayla, Balee Burns, Blake Leamon and wife Lexi, Shayli Arp and husband Chandler, Langlee Morrison, Eli Morrison, Brayden Adams, Tanner Leamon and wife Lexi, and Tessa Leamon; great-great-grandchildren, Grayzleigh Arp, Harbor Brewer, Lane Arp, Hasher Brewer, Jace Leamon, and Mathew Leamon.
