Albert Junior Mears (Alb), 82, most beloved man, Coalminer Foreman for 25 years with Tennessee Consolidator and 3 years with Jim Walter's No#3 mines passed away June 8, 2024.

He is proceeded in death by parents Albert Lee Mears and Estelle Mears; brothers, David, Sam, and Bob Mears; sisters, Doris White, and Jackie Jackson; nephews, Jeff Nunley, and Kevin Jackson; great-grandson, Mason Nunley; son-in-law, Terry Birdwell; sister-in-law, Kathy Mears.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 41 years, Thressa Almond Stockwell Mears; sons, Daniel (Shannon) Mears, Albert Mears Jr., Dwight(Heather) Stockwell, and Trenton(Cheyenne) Stockwell; daughters, Elizabeth Parker, Kim(Shane) Vick, Skylyn(Garrett) Womack; grandchildren, Heather, Tiffany, Scottie, Jay Birdwell, Sha Birdwell Nunley, Aterra Mears. Zack and Zahra Mears, Brooklynn, Jonah, Luke, Hope Womack, Cyrus and Tinsley Stockwell and many great grandchildren; siblings, Jim Mears of Whitwell, Pauletta Nunley of Jasper, Martha Ridge of Jasper, Betty Mears of Alabama.
